About This Product

■Product OverviewEP Machine Lube P is an extreme-pressure enhanced, high-performance multipurpose lubricant for machine tools and general industrial machinery. It has a flash point of 250°C or higher and is classified as a flammable liquid under the Fire Service Act. It satisfies the performance requirements for bearing lubricants and hydraulic fluids in a wide range of machine tools and general industrial machinery, and also offers extreme-pressure performance comparable to gear oil. As a high-performance multipurpose lubricant in the flammable liquid class, EP Machine Lube P contributes to lubrication management in the plant.

Features
■Flash Point of 250°C or HigherEP Machine Lube P has a flash point of 250°C or higher and is classified as a flammable liquid.

■Excellent LubricityThe use of high-performance SP (sulfur-phosphorus) additives provides excellent wear resistance and extreme-pressure performance. Its FZG failure stage is 12 or higher, the highest level, giving extreme-pressure performance comparable to gear oil.

*FZG Failure Stage
A test specified in DIN 51354 that uses gear test pieces to evaluate the extreme-pressure performance of a test oil. A failure stage of 12 or higher is the highest performance defined by the standard.

■Long Service LifeEP Machine Lube P has excellent thermal and oxidation stability, so it can be used for long periods under appropriate maintenance management (such as preventing contamination by foreign matter).

■Prevents Rust and CorrosionThrough the action of excellent rust and corrosion inhibitors, EP Machine Lube P protects not only the gears but also the oil circulation system from rust and corrosion.

■Other PerformanceEP Machine Lube P has excellent water separability and anti-foaming performance, making oil management extremely easy.

■Precautions for Handling Flammable Liquids・When flammable liquids are stored together with hazardous materials in an indoor or outdoor storage facility, as a rule the hazardous materials and the flammable liquids must each be grouped together and stored at least 1 m apart from one another.
・Flammable liquids in quantities of 2 cubic meters (2 kL) or more are treated as designated combustibles and are subject to municipal ordinance regulations.

■TypesEP Machine Lube P is available in four viscosity grades, ISO VG100, 150, 220, and 320, allowing selection according to operating conditions.

■Applications・Broad-range lubrication of large machine tools (bearings, hydraulics)
・Lubrication of bearings where rust and oil degradation are easily accelerated
・Lubrication of various hydraulic units
・Lubrication of calender roll bearings for rubber, vinyl, and similar materials
・Lubrication of rolling mill bearings for ferrous and non-ferrous metals
・Lubrication of various bearings in electric motors, generators, pumps, blowers, and the like
