■Product Overview

FBK Turbine GT 32 is a lubricant for gas turbines. Gas turbines operate under more severe temperature conditions than steam turbines, so they require a heat-resistant turbine oil with excellent oxidation stability even at high temperatures. FBK Turbine GT 32 delivers the excellent heat resistance characteristic of amine-based turbine oils together with excellent rust prevention, foam suppression, and water separability, and it is a long-life turbine oil that meets General Electric turbine oil specification GEK 32568J. Features

■Excellent Thermal Stability and Oxidation Stability

Turbine oil is used for more than ten years while part of it is replaced (forced replenishment) during scheduled maintenance. At the same time, turbine oil gradually degrades and produces sludge that harms machine operation. A turbine oil with excellent oxidation stability that generates little sludge is therefore required. FBK Turbine GT 32 blends a highly refined hydrocracked base oil with an amine-based antioxidant that generates little sludge, delivering excellent high-temperature oxidation stability and thermal stability. This enables long-term use under severe conditions.

■Excellent Rust Prevention

FBK Turbine GT 32 is formulated with a carefully selected rust inhibitor that prevents rust in the system even during long periods of continuous use.

■Excellent Foam Suppression

Foaming of lubricants occurs when the oil and air are vigorously agitated, when air is drawn in through a non-airtight section of piping, or when air and other gases dissolved in the oil are suddenly released. Investigating the cause of foaming and taking countermeasures therefore comes first, but the lubricant itself is also expected to dissipate any foam that forms quickly. FBK Turbine GT 32 is fortified with a carefully selected anti-foam agent to strengthen foam prevention, preventing failures caused by foam such as increased machine noise and control malfunctions.

■Good Demulsibility and Water Separability

Lubricants often emulsify when water enters, making operation unstable. A turbine oil that resists emulsification and readily separates from entrained water is therefore desirable. FBK Turbine GT 32 has excellent water separation performance and prevents emulsification problems caused by water ingress.

■Good Viscosity and Temperature Characteristics and Low-Temperature Properties

FBK Turbine GT 32 shows little viscosity change with temperature and has a low pour point, making it suitable for use in winter and in cold regions.
