Industrial Lubricating Oil Water-Glycol Fire-Resistant Hydraulic Fluid Highland FRZ
FUJI KOSAN COMPANY, LTD.

About This Product

■Product Overview

Hydraulic systems are used in many plant facilities, and they are increasingly used in high-temperature, high-heat equipment such as die casting machines and heating furnaces. Highland FRZ is a water-containing fire-resistant hydraulic fluid with excellent fire resistance, so it reduces the risk of fire even if the fluid leaks in high-temperature, high-heat equipment. In addition to excellent fire resistance, Highland FRZ offers excellent lubricity, corrosion protection, thermal and oxidation stability, and temperature-viscosity characteristics. Features

■Excellent Fire Resistance

Highland FRZ contains about 40% water, giving it better fire resistance than mineral-oil-based hydraulic fluids. Even in the unlikely event of a fluid leak, the risk of fire can be reduced.

■Excellent Lubricity

Highland FRZ uses carefully selected additives that prevent wear of the pump and the hydraulic system over long periods.

■Excellent Corrosion Protection

Highland FRZ has excellent corrosion resistance and is virtually non-corrosive to metals such as cast iron, steel, copper alloys, and aluminum alloys.

■Excellent Thermal and Oxidation Stability

Highland FRZ delivers excellent oxidation stability thanks to carefully selected additives.

■Excellent Temperature-Viscosity Characteristics

Highland FRZ is a hydraulic fluid with a high viscosity index and a low pour point. Because its viscosity changes less with temperature than that of general mineral-oil-based fluids, it maintains the viscosity required for pump operation even when the ambient temperature changes significantly. Precautions for Use

■Compatibility with Metallic Materials

Highland FRZ is non-corrosive to almost all metals, but like other water-glycol fluids it forms precipitates and gummy substances with zinc, magnesium, and cadmium, so avoid using it with these metallic materials.

■Compatibility with Seal Materials

Use seal materials such as nitrile rubber, butyl rubber, ethylene-propylene rubber, fluorocarbon rubber, and silicone rubber. Avoid highly hygroscopic materials such as leather and cork, as well as urethane rubber.

■Compatibility with Paints

In general, water-glycol fluids tend to dissolve paint, so do not paint the inside of the oil tank.

■Applications

Hydraulic systems for die casting machines, heating furnaces, steel casting equipment, hot rolling equipment, and similar facilities

■Packaging

200 L drum, 20 L pail can
