About This Product

■Product Overview

Highland PTF26 is a hydraulic fluid for numerically controlled (NC) machines, made by blending carefully selected additives such as a viscosity index improver, an anti-wear agent, an antioxidant, and a rust inhibitor into a highly refined paraffinic base oil. Most numerically controlled machines use hydraulics to drive their mechanisms, and a high-precision hydraulic system is required to carry out each operation accurately in response to the command pulses issued by the numerical control unit. Highland PTF26 delivers excellent performance as a hydraulic fluid not only for the electro-hydraulic pulse motors widely used in Japan but also for numerically controlled machines of all kinds, fully meeting the needs for higher precision, labor savings, and greater efficiency. Features

■Excellent Temperature and Viscosity Characteristics

Highland PTF26 has a far higher viscosity index than general hydraulic fluids, so its viscosity changes very little with temperature and smooth operation is obtained over a wide temperature range.

■Excellent Shear Stability

The viscosity index improver in Highland PTF26 has good shear stability, so viscosity loss is very small even under heavy shear forces and the stable viscosity required for operation is maintained.

■Excellent Wear Protection

The excellent wear protection of Highland PTF26 prevents wear of the pump and the rest of the system over long periods, ensuring consistently accurate operation.

■Minimal Effect on Seal Materials

The carefully selected base oil and additive blend give Highland PTF26 a high aniline point, so it has almost no effect on rubber seal materials.

■Excellent Oxidation Stability

Formulated with a superior antioxidant, Highland PTF26 undergoes little oxidative degradation and delivers excellent performance even after extended use.

■Excellent Rust Prevention

Containing a superior rust inhibitor, Highland PTF26 prevents rust caused by water entering the hydraulic system.

■Applications

Hydraulic systems of numerically controlled (NC) machine tools, drafting machines, welding machines, gas cutting machines, and similar equipment.

■Packaging
