About This Product

■Summary

The LAS system is a compact device that creates an anaerobic/microaerophilic environment inside a dedicated bag. The bag containing the agar medium is automatically sealed in a few seconds to create the desired atmosphere (anaerobic/microaerobic). After sealing, it can be cultured and stored in an anaerobic environment in a normal incubator. Compared to conventional anaerobic systems using jars and chemicals, and carbon dioxide gas incubators, this system enables anaerobic culture, testing, and research in a more sophisticated environment at a lower cost. The bag used in this machine takes up less space than a jar, so it can be installed in an incubator or laboratory in a space-saving manner. Since gas is blown directly into the bag to replace the gas, the amount of gas used is significantly lower than with jars, etc., resulting in savings. Gas replacement takes place in a few seconds, and the bag is made of a special material that does not leak gas for a long time, achieving an extremely good microbial growth and recovery rate. The bag is transparent on one side, allowing observation of the culturing process without exposing it to air. With carbon dioxide gas incubators, changes in carbon dioxide concentration due to opening and closing of the door can be a big problem, but there is no need to worry about that.
