About This Product

■Summary

The MA736 is a MagAlpha digital magnetic angle sensor that detects the absolute angular position of a permanent magnet (usually a diametrically magnetized cylinder on a rotating shaft). Its ultra-small UTQFN package is an ideal solution for space-constrained applications. High-speed data acquisition and processing enables accurate angle measurements from static angle measurements to high-speed rotation. Digital filtering is adjustable to optimize control loop performance when used in servo applications. MA736 is compatible with a wide range of magnetic field strengths and spatial configurations. Both end-of-shaft and side-shaft (off-axis mounting) configurations are supported. The MA736 detects magnetic field strength and has a configurable threshold that can be used for diagnostic purposes. On-chip non-volatile memory (NVM) provides storage for configuration parameters such as reference zero angle and magnetic field detection threshold. It is also possible to configure the MA736 using volatile registers without utilizing NVM. The MA736 is available in a UTQFN-14 (2mm x 2mm) package.
