About This Product

■Summary

The MPQ8112A is a low cost, unipolar, high-side current sense amplifier. The device operates from a 2.7V to 60V supply and typically draws 300μA of current. It is ideal for automotive systems, industrial supplies, and systems where battery monitoring and DC current monitoring are important. High-side current monitoring is ideal for battery-powered systems because it does not interfere with the battery charger's ground path. The common-mode input ranges from 0V to 60V and has a high bandwidth of 700kHz, making the device suitable for internal control loops and short-circuit protection (SCP) loops. The MPQ8112A converts a differential input voltage (VIN) to a current output, which is then converted to a voltage through an external load resistor. The device's gain is adjustable and determined by the external common input resistance and load resistance. MPQ8112 is available in a TSOT23-6L package.
