About This Product

Shizukayuka Light is a new type of carpet tile for general residential use that adds soundproofing, cushioning, and anti-mite treatment not found in conventional products. It can be used on flooring and on the floors of a wide range of living spaces. As a soundproofing mat, it effectively solves the various everyday noises in a room, such as the flapping sound of walking on flooring in slippers, the sound of chairs being dragged, and the sound of dropped objects. Care is easy, too. It is a popular product recommended for households with children or pets, and for soundproofing against noise transmitted to the floor below in condominiums, apartments, and other multi-unit housing.

■Excellent Sound Insulation

The mat on the back of the carpet, made of a special three-layer material with cushioning and sound insulation, blocks everyday noise from reaching the floor below. It carries the sound insulation grade "LL-40 (slab thickness 150 mm)" among the soundproofing performance classes defined by JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards), performing so well that the sound of moving chairs or dropped objects is barely audible. It is also recommended for soundproofing pianos and other instruments.

■Easy Installation

Shizukayuka Light installs simply by laying the tiles out. Just lay them alternately, following the arrows on the back. Any excess can be cut easily with a utility knife, so a clean finish is possible whatever the shape of the room.

■Easy Care

Day-to-day care needs nothing more than a vacuum cleaner. If one area becomes soiled, you can remove just that one tile and wash it completely. Simply hand wash it with a brush, then hang it to dry in the shade. With a washable carpet tile, only the soiled part needs maintenance, so it stays clean and safe even in households with small children or pets.

■Outstanding Heat Retention and Insulation

Acrylic fiber that is soft on the skin is finished even softer with our original spinning and weaving technology. Its excellent heat retention and insulation can be expected to cut utility costs.

■Rich Color Variations

Colors can be chosen from a total of 8 (blue, off-white, charcoal, brown, sheep white, light brown, orange, green) to match your room's interior, so you can enjoy coordinating them.

■Anti-Mite Treatment

Special treatment of the carpet prevents mites from breeding, giving you a clean living space.
