About This Product
■500th year of revolution in bearings using self-dispersing balls
A dramatic solution that eliminates sliding friction without a cage and prevents failures without relying on oil.
The bearing structure, which is surrounded by a cage to prevent bearing balls from coming into contact with each other, was invented by Leonardo da Vinci about 500 years ago. The mechanism that uses this cage to maintain a constant ball spacing is still in use to this day.
500 years have passed since ball bearings using cages were introduced into the world, and ADB (Autonomous Decentralized Bearing) was finally invented as a technology that enables ideal bearing operation. [Patent: JP, US, CN registered] ADB Bearing is a revolutionary new bearing technology that autonomously disperses the balls without using a cage, making them non-contact.
In the past, lubricant was required to prevent sliding friction between the balls and the cage. Furthermore, friction between the balls and the cage causes various problems such as high driving torque and rust due to wear and abrasion particles.
With ADB, the rotating balls are autonomously dispersed without a cage, and the balls are not in contact with each other. This solves most of the problems caused by cages, resulting in extremely low friction, energy savings, high efficiency, high speed rotation performance, durability and load capacity, oil-free maintenance, and freedom of design by freeing cage space. etc., making it possible to use smaller and lighter bearings.
BreYBra Co., Ltd. has successfully mass-produced ADB, which was previously difficult, and is now able to meet widespread demand. We will continue to develop our business to popularize ADB bearings, focusing on bearing sizes that are often used in actual use.
■Operating principle of autonomous decentralized rolling bearing ADB
ADB bearings are a technology that disperses balls that enter the load area by forming recesses (dispersion starting points) in the outer raceway. Since the ball does not touch the recess, its turning radius is reduced. As a result, the ball that enters has a slight increase in its rotational energy, but in return its orbital energy decreases and it decelerates.
Conversely, as the radius of rotation increases for balls that escape from the dispersion point, part of the rotational energy is replaced by orbital energy and accelerated, creating gaps between the succeeding balls and dispersing them. The dispersion starting point is dug into the groove bottom of the outer ring, so there is a gap between the balls passing through this point and the inner ring.
