■ Advantages to use TEDS microfones

The TEDS microphone has a cartridge's individual identification information and load sensitivity in TEDS, and the biggest advantage is that when connected to the measuring device, this information is automatically set. The mini CD attached to many TEDS microphones contains individual characteristic data, and can be used to correct frequency characteristics. In addition, cartridge and preamplifier are sealed as a unit in a clean room to avoid incorporation of impurities such as chili, which causes aging of performance. All TEDS Microhons, excluding TEDS template 4957 and 4958, are provided in a template that meets IEEE 1454.4 V0.9. If you specify it at the time of purchase, you can provide IEEE 1545.4 V1.0 template free of charge.

■ Data transmission

In general, there are two ways to transfer data from TEDS chip to analyzer. The simple method is to use a dedicated line for data transfer called class 2. In the conventional LEMO type TEDS preamplifier, 5 output terminals are transferred to TEDS data. On the other hand, the method of class 1 is a single -track system such as DeltaTron, and signals and data transfer are performed at the same line. In this case, it is possible to use a single track by changing the mode (TEDS data/signal) electrically.

1 inch and 1/2 inch microphones appropriately covers many noise measurements based on the IEC, ISO, and ANSI standards, but the demands for the lower level of noise, which are lower than these noise floors, are increasing. In such a case, the 4955 type is the best choice. A total titanium laser welded diaphragm and a 20 -DB gain -noise preamplifier were combined with a 1/2 "micro hon cartridge that optimized self -noise. As a result, this system was highly sensitive, excellent long -term stability and outstanding. It is a system with corrosion resistance. Since the 4955 TEDS microphone is a typical 5.5 db A -characteristic sound level noise level, it can fully measure the 10 db A characteristic sound pressure level.
