SOD-1Plus is a product that enables internal maintenance of machinery (prevention, repair and diagnosis) simply by adding 7 to 10% of the total oil volume when changing oil or fluid. It was developed with the cooperation of the Fukuoka Prefecture Automobile Maintenance Association so that mechanics can use it with confidence. A synthetic oil-based oil additive that uses ester and PAO synthetic base oils with special additives incorporated, it has a pour point of -47.5°C and remains effective even in cold regions. It also has a reassuring formulation containing no chlorine-based or solid additives.

■Why SOD-1 Plus Is NeededIn recent years, oils used in automobiles have become increasingly low in viscosity in the pursuit of fuel economy.
However, because low-viscosity oils lack lubrication performance under high temperatures and high loads, problems such as mechanical friction, oil consumption from oil evaporation, internal contamination and thermal degradation of rubber and seal components have come to the surface. Adding SOD-1 Plus strengthens the basic performance of the oil, so the need for it as part of preventive servicing and maintenance is growing. Using it compensates for shortcomings in lubrication performance and strengthens protection of the engine and other machine components.
