About This Product

■Further compact and lightweight

AME-OL200 is slightly smaller and lighter than the previous model. The total weight including the monopod and battery has been reduced from 3.7kg to 2.9kg (compared to a model without camera). The monopod fork has also been made shorter and slimmer, making it less likely to get caught in understory vegetation or fallen trees, improving portability in the forest.

■22.5 seconds scan

The scan time has been cut in half from the previous 45 seconds per point to 22.5 seconds. Measurements can be made in a shorter time. For example, in the case of 1ha measurement, which previously took approximately 150 minutes, by using AME-OL200, the measurement can be completed in 105 minutes, a reduction of 45 minutes (22.5 seconds per scan, and the time it takes to move to the next point) is reduced by 45 minutes. Comparison with the conventional model when 120 scans were performed in 30 seconds).

■Changing the power switch and changing the power OFF (shutdown) operation

The power switch has been changed from a rocker switch to a slide switch to prevent the power from turning off due to accidental contact. The power off process has also been reviewed. Previously, two actions were required: pressing the shutdown button and turning off the power, but with the AME-OL200, simply turning the power switch to the OFF side starts the shutdown process, and then automatically turns off the power.

■Status LED indicates scanning progress

Three status LEDs (green) at the top of the LCD panel indicate scanning progress. When you start scanning, LEDs 1, 2, and 3 will blink as the scan progresses. In addition, if it stops due to an error, "2" will flash, and if the battery is low (when low-batt is detected), "1" will flash.

■Battery level warning (Low-Batt detection)

A remaining battery warning function has been added to prevent sudden measurement interruptions due to running out of battery. When the battery level decreases and becomes unusable after approximately 30 minutes, the status LED "1" will blink. You can decide to finish the work or replace the battery with a spare one. It works when the battery voltage is below 13.6V. The remaining time is an estimate. The time will be shorter depending on the usage (deterioration) of the battery and the outside temperature.
