■Extremely small body up to 300m
FND-300 is an HDMI video and audio optical extender weighing only 12g. Extend from 10m up to 300m using a multimode optical cable with a 1-core LC connector. Resolutions range from Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) to up to 4K (3,840 x 2,160) at 30Hz.
There is a 1LC port and a USB micro-B port for power supply on the back of the transmitter and receiver, but as a general rule, power is only supplied to the receiver side, and the transmitter side is not required. The color of the main unit is orange for TX on the PC side and green for RX on the receiving side.The back of the main unit has "HDMI IN" for TX and "HDMI OUT" for RX printed for easy identification.
■Power supply method
FND-300 comes with two USB cables (Type A-micro B/50cm) for power supply. Basically, only the receiving side requires power supply, and it is connected to the USB port on the monitor to supply power.
If your monitor does not have a USB port, please use a commercially available USB power adapter to power it (5V1-2A adapter). If the extension monitor starts up unstable, it may be necessary to supply power to the transmitter for wake-up.
■USB power cable length
The length of the included USB power cable is 50cm. If you don't have enough, you can use a commercially available USB Type A-micro B cable. However, please be careful not to exceed the maximum length of 5m.
■Convert and extend
If your PC does not have an HDMI port, you can extend other ports by using a conversion connector or converter. DVI and DisplayPort (DP) conversion. You can extend your monitor using a conversion connector or conversion cable. In the case of DVI, audio cannot be extended. Also, DP cannot be converted from HDMI to DP at the extension destination (DP to HDMI only).
