■Stacking type board-to-board (FPC) connector with robust power terminals
With the spread of 5G, compact mobile devices such as smartphones, wearable devices, and tablet PCs are becoming more multi-functional and sophisticated, such as larger batteries and an increase in the number of cameras, resulting in higher density inside the devices. . For this reason, interior connectors are becoming smaller, and at the same time, they are required to have a structure that prevents damage during mating, and to handle larger currents by increasing current capacity.
Additionally, as automobiles become more electrified (EV) and more sophisticated, the interior layout of automobiles is becoming unitized, similar to consumer devices such as PCs. For this reason, connectors are required to make electrical connections between boards inside the unit and between units. In addition, units need to process more signals, and connectors are required to have high-speed transmission, multiple pins, and space savings.
The WP26DK series is a stacking type board-to-board (FPC) connector with a robust structure and 0.35mm pitch power terminal. In addition to protecting the mating surface with hold-down, this product is also equipped with protective metal fittings on both ends of the suction part, greatly improving its robustness. In addition, by using the holddown as a power supply terminal that can handle large currents, it is possible to reduce the number of terminals, thereby reducing the size of the product and contributing to the customer's greater design freedom by saving space on the board. Furthermore, it is a connector with excellent contact reliability that can be used in harsh environments and is compatible with in-vehicle specification evaluation.
