About This Product

This is a system that simultaneously measures the spectrum of weak luminescence and fluorescence at all wavelengths. Lumiful SpectroCapture is a high-sensitivity spectrometer that can quickly measure the spectrum of weak light, which is difficult to measure with conventional spectrometers using photodiodes or photomultiplier tubes.

■Comparison with a general spectrometer

・The quantum efficiency of photomultiplier tubes is lower than that of CCDs* ・Sensitivity was insufficient due to factors such as the short measurement time for each wavelength, and a spectrum could not be obtained unless the sample was at a certain high concentration. Additionally, if the scan time was increased to compensate for the lack of sensitivity, the decay of luminescence and fluorescence would progress during the scan, making it impossible to obtain accurate spectra. *In order to capture weak wavelength changes in light, a device that can measure the spectrum of a trace amount of sample with high sensitivity is required. A typical spectrometer sequentially scans the separated light using a photomultiplier tube and detects each wavelength.
