■What is carbide reamer?
Carbide reamers are used to more precisely finish pre-machined pilot holes. Reamers are the most widely used for high-precision hole drilling. Standard hole machining accuracy is H7~H9, finished surface roughness is 3.2S~12.5S
Precision holes that meet strict cutting accuracy requirements require accurate diameter, roundness, and a smooth finished surface. Carbide reamers have high precision and are capable of high-speed machining, and can meet the requirements for cutting with even higher finished surface roughness than burnishing reamers. There are a variety of carbide reamers available, so we will suggest a reamer that matches your cutting conditions.
■Comparison with vanishing reamer
- Possible to design unevenly divided grooves. Works to counteract deflection, suppressing chatter and improving roundness.
・Left-handed twist design is possible. Chips can be discharged forward when drilling through holes.
- Strong twist design is possible. A finishing tool that ensures sharpness and chip evacuation.
■Brazing reamer
The price increases as the outer diameter increases, so in the case of reamers of Φ20 or more, only the parts necessary for cutting are made of carbide material in order to keep the price down.
