About This Product

BMA 360 is an in-ceiling microphone array that combines ClearOne's advanced technology. Equipped with 121 large directional array microphones inside the microphone, we have achieved unprecedented directivity with no wraparound and almost flat frequency response up to the high range. The sound is natural and free of noise and reverberation, making it feel like the microphones are placed close to all attendees, allowing for stress-free meetings. The sound that changes the common sense of ceiling microphones is realized by the following technology developed by ClearOne. BMA360's advanced beam technology

■DS Beam (Deep Sidelobe Beamforming Technology)

By performing detailed and high-speed audio processing for each direction and frequency band using a large array of microphones, the BMA360 achieves undisturbed directivity up to the high frequencies. As shown in the diagram, with conventional array microphones, the beam directivity becomes more disturbed in the higher frequencies of 1.0kHz and 2.5kHz. To the auditory sense, high frequencies are noticeable, so disturbances in directivity not only cause unnecessary noise and echoes to wrap around, but also affect the surrounding characteristics due to interference between array microphones. As shown in the diagram, ClearOne's DSBeam technology has achieved perfect beam directivity with no disturbance in the high range from 1.0kHz to 4.0kHz. The sidelobes inside and outside the beam are extremely well separated at -40dB. This allows you to reproduce the speaker's realistic voice, which is necessary for a conference, with less interference.

■FiBeam (Frequency Invariant Beamforming Technology)

ClearOne's proprietary technology called FiBeam controls the directivity of a large array of microphones to reduce phase interference between microphones, and the frequency characteristics of all beams are processed using advanced and fast-response audio DSP processing, as shown in the table below. Achieved almost flat frequency characteristics across all bands. This is the secret to a natural and realistic sound that feels like it's being picked up by a nearby microphone.
