GPD's InGaAs avalanche photodiodes (APDs) offer high performance in infrared detection. This APD has high sensitivity in the wavelength range of 950nm to 1,700nm, making it especially suitable for applications such as communications, remote sensing, and laser distance measurement. For example, in the communications field, it supports highly accurate data transmission, and in remote sensing, it is possible to collect accurate environmental data. In laser distance measurement, fast response times (on the order of picoseconds) and high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) enable the detection of weak signals.
The use of InGaAs material provides low noise and high gain (e.g. 40dB), improving detection capability.
