■ Principles and mechanisms
The function generator is one of the so -called signal generators and is widely used in experiments and measurements using signals of various frequency. You can also modulate and output external signals.
The signals used for experiments and measurements must be prepared to various waveforms according to the application. For this reason, the function generator generates "sine waves, square waves, triangular waves, lamp waves, noise" as a basic waveform, and can output any signal by processing burst, sweep, gate, etc.
The SRS DS3 series is a DDS system (digital direct synthetic oscillator), featuring functions such as AM (amplitude modulation) and FM (frequency modulation), and DS345 also has a PM (phase modification) function. The DDS method can combine various functions by adding to the basic waveforms, so you can output a relatively easy -to -complex pattern signal. It is a standard arbitrary waveform generator. You can choose from 3 types of output frequency range.
