About This Product

It is a frequency counter (time interval counter) that can measure the time interval, frequency, pulse width, rising rising time, cycle, and phase. It can be measured by resolution of 25ps (RMS), and the frequency measurement range is 0.001Hz to 1.3GHz.

■ Principles and mechanisms

The role of the frequency counter (time interval counter) is to measure accurate time intervals. To put it simply, it's like a very accurate stopwatch. The input signal is converted to a digital signal after the input signal is accurately counted to a very short frequency. The converted signal passes through a gate that opens and closes at a certain time, and the number of pulses of the signal is counted. Therefore, the frequency counter has a built -in high -precision oscillator that creates the reference time, and the pulse signal counted around the reference time is measured in Hz units. The counted signal depends on the time interval to be measured and the width of the pulse. The frequency counter SR620 and SR625 have the time resolution of 25ps single shot, and the maximum measurement frequency is 1.3GHz. In addition, the high -end model SR625 has a built -in high -precision rubidium oscillator as a source of standard time.
