■ Principles and mechanism of lock -in amplifier
In fields that require small signals, peripheral noise is a major problem. Lock in amplifiers are used to accurately detect a small signal so that the signal is not buried in the noise, such as when the light measurement or a very small resistance value is detected.
Synchronization and filter technology are applied to detecting signals using lock -in amplifiers. This is a mechanism to modulate the small signal so buried in the noise, amplify it to a level that can be detected, and then extract only the necessary signals through the filter.
The purpose of using a lock -in amplifier is to keep the signal to be detected as much as possible from the noise.
