About This Product

This is an automated system that separates and analyzes mineral oil saturated hydrocarbons (MOSH) and mineral oil aromatic hydrocarbons (MOAH) in foods using LC-GC-FID technology. After separating and fractionating MOSH and MOAH through LC (silica gel column) pretreatment, these two fractions are transferred to the LC-GC interface. At the interface, while controlling the purge gas and carrier gas, a large amount of solvent in the transferred fraction is removed by a heated purge and introduced into the GC separation column (dual column). MOSH and MOAH are eluted using a heating program and analyzed simultaneously using dual FID.

■Automatic pretreatment to remove the matrix in the sample is possible by selecting the following options.

・Online alumina cleanup - removal of biologically derived alkanes (purification of MOSH fraction) ・Epoxidation - removal of natural olefins (squalene, β-carotene, etc.) (purification of MOAH fraction)
