About This Product

RAP3 AC servo motor stage equipped type is a stage system that supports the requirement to fix the object to be measured/processed and drive various sensors and processing tools at high speed. By adopting a gantry (gate-type) method, it is possible to collect measurement data and perform processing at each position with high precision while driving the XYZ axes at high speed. Customization is possible to meet all customer requests and specifications.

■AC servo motor stage moves the sensor head and tools at high speed and with high precision in XYZ

The gantry (gate type) system allows mounted sensors and tools to be driven with high precision on the XYZ axes. The RAP3 standard type drives the installed equipment along the XZ axes, and the object to be measured or workpiece along the Y-axis, whereas this RAP3 AC servo motor stage equipped type drives the installed equipment along the XYZ axes. Since it is driven, it is ideal for applications where the object to be measured/processed cannot be moved.

■High-speed drive/high-precision trigger function

The X-axis, which scans sensors and tools at high speed, achieves a maximum speed of 1,000 mm/sec with a resolution of 1 μm. In addition, by installing a linear scale on the X axis, the accurate position can be extracted as a trigger signal. This makes it possible to easily and accurately collect sensor measurement data synchronized with position.

■Semi-closed loop control

The RAP3 standard type uses open loop control using a stepping motor. This open-loop control method poses no problems during normal use, but when moving rapidly or driving at high speeds, a motor idling phenomenon called step-out may occur. On the other hand, the type equipped with an AC servo motor stage uses a semi-closed loop control method to constantly monitor the motor rotation speed, which prevents the motor from running idly and enables highly reliable positioning.
