About This Product

Structure of plate heat exchanger

■Basic structure

Heat transfer plates are made by press-forming thin plates of corrosion-resistant metals such as stainless steel and titanium, and sealing gaskets are attached to them, and they are suspended and stacked on guide bars. Then tighten the bolts between the fixed frame and the moving frame. At this time, a certain gap is provided between the heat transfer plates to allow the liquid to flow. Fluid inlet/outlet is provided on the fixed frame or movable frame. Features of plate heat exchanger

■High performance

The overall heat transfer coefficient (U value) for water-to-water applications is typically 4,000 to 8,000W/ (m2・℃). The wave-shaped protrusion pattern provided on the heat transfer surface causes the fluid to create a violent vortex, resulting in a high heat transfer coefficient. In addition, the intense vortex flow suppresses scaling that occurs on the plate surface, allowing long-term high-performance operation.

■Lightweight and compact, installation area is 1/3 that of multi-tube type.

Since it is compact, the installation area is small. In addition, the heat transfer plate is thin and holds a small amount of fluid, making it lightweight and easy to install. Compared to S&T (multi-tube type), the installation area is approximately 1/3 and the weight is approximately 1/10. The plate type can be disassembled and cleaned while still installed.

■Easy maintenance

It can be easily disassembled by loosening the tightening bolts, and all heat transfer surfaces of the heat transfer plate can be easily visually inspected and cleaned.

■Steam can be used as a heat source

Using a specially formulated synthetic rubber gasket, it can withstand a maximum operating temperature of 180℃. Furthermore, since the internal volume of the vessel is small, even if the vessel is a multi-tube type and falls under the category 1 pressure vessel, it is easy to use it as a pressure vessel, such as by using a small pressure vessel or a simple pressure vessel.

■Low heat dissipation

The gasket blocks heat radiation from the sides, top, and bottom of the heat transfer plate, and only a small amount of heat is radiated from the fin-shaped edges of the thin plate. In addition, the front and rear surfaces are in contact with the frame surface through an air layer, so there is little heat dissipation. Unless the number of plates is extremely small, it is less than 1% of the heat exchanged.

■Quick delivery time

Plates made of standard materials (SUS304/316&TP270) are manufactured in advance, and the frames are standardized, so we can supply them in a short lead time.
