A high-performance heatsink is realized using our unique technology. A high-performance heat sink has been achieved using our unique aluminum pressure welding technology.

■Comb fit joining principle

The aluminum surfaces of the base and fins that make up the heat sink are exposed to air and are covered with a hard oxide film. If this hard oxide film is instantly removed and the new surfaces of the fin and base are pressed together with pressure, the metals will stick together, improving thermal conductivity between the base and fins. This is the same principle as when you peel off the surface of a baked mochi and attach the soft part. The fin and base are bonded by combining the stress generated during press-fitting and work hardening, so the bonding force is incomparable to simply pressing the fin into the base.
