The LPMS inertial measurement unit is capable of fast and accurate 3D orientation sensing. Supports various communication interfaces and enclosure options.

■Description

LPMS-CURS2 is a high performance, compact inertial measurement unit (IMU) with multiple communication interfaces. Integrating CAN bus, USB, and UART, the LPMS-CURS2 is ideal for measuring both machine and human motion in applications where size and cost are critical. LPMS-CURS2 ships without a housing, making it ideal for integration with your own devices. All versions of LPMS-CURS2 support USB communication, but please note that only one interface (either RS232, TTL serial, or CAN bus) is supported in the firmware . When ordering, please let us know which communication mode you use. The unit is equipped with a 32-bit digital signal processor that can perform all calculations onboard and in real time. For more information on the sensor fusion method, please refer to the IMUcore description. The LPMS-CURS2's CAN bus interface allows you to connect the sensor to a larger CAN bus infrastructure. The sensor supports a minimal CANopen implementation and a customizable sequential CAN message format. The amount of measurement data transmitted via the CAN bus can be freely configured using the LPMS-Control software. Depending on the sensor's transfer rate setting, data rates of up to 400Hz can be achieved.
