■Description
The LP-Research Motion Sensor Bluetooth Version 2 (LPMS-B2) series is a 9-axis Bluetooth IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit)/Attitude and Orientation Reference System (AHRS). These units are highly versatile and perform accurate and fast directional and relative displacement measurements.
Using three different MEMS sensors (3-axis gyroscope, 3-axis accelerometer, and 3-axis magnetometer) provides high-speed, drift-free directional data on all three axes. Additionally, temperature and barometric pressure sensors allow you to accurately measure the unit's altitude.
The LPMS-B2 series communicates with host systems via Bluetooth Classic 2.1 or Low Energy 4.1 connectivity. Multiple sensor units can be used simultaneously on one host system (up to 7 units on Windows/Android). This series supports data transfer rates up to 400Hz.
The sensor unit is equipped with a 32-bit digital signal processor that can perform all calculations onboard and in real time. For more information on the sensor fusion method, please refer to the IMUcore description.
