■Autonomous distributed servo system equipped with control IC

Cool Muscle 3+ is an integrated servo system that is equipped with devices such as drivers and controllers necessary for motor control, as well as a periodic calculation function that can perform conditional branch processing and calculation processing according to the operating status and external environment. The motor itself can now operate autonomously, contributing to lower costs for the entire system.

■Slimming through autonomous decentralized control

In conventional general systems, a PLC controls all devices at once. Although suitable when complex controls need to be centrally managed, expensive PLCs are often used even when controlling simple equipment or small systems. CM3+ enables autonomous distributed control, reducing the burden on the PLC side, simplifying the host system, reducing costs, and eliminating wiring.

■Operation branch processing during positioning operation A completely new motor capable of multitasking processing

There are two types of CM3+ programs: "motion bank" that describes motion sequences such as positioning motion, and "logic bank" that describes the entire sequence, and these programs can be executed simultaneously. These two programs enable conditional branch processing and arithmetic processing according to operating conditions and external environment, enabling a wider range of control development. Achieve precision, high speed, and high torque at low cost with simple commands from a familiar interface.

■The simplest operation

The network configuration uses serial communication, and the standard is RS232C. No special equipment or software is required as long as the environment allows communication.

■Multi-axis network with reduced wiring

The network configuration uses a daisy chain method, and a multi-axis network of up to 15 axes can be constructed by simply connecting the motors with cables.

■Supports various control methods

Operation data can be set, and operation data can be selected and executed from the upper level. I/O, RS232C, Modbus (RTU)/RS-485 communication can be selected.

■Torque performance that exceeds that of servo motors

When controlling the torque of a servo motor, use the rated torque (approximately 30% of the maximum torque). On the other hand, CM3+ can control approximately 80% of the maximum torque. The motor size is smaller, making it possible to realize a torque control system at a lower cost.
