■Newly developed hardware pursuing high performance

AccuTOF™ GC-Alpha is the 6th generation GC-TOFMS from the original AccuTOF™ GC. The ion optical system is now in the opposite shape from the traditional V-shape. The name "Alpha" in the device name refers to the ion trajectory (inverted V-shaped = A) when viewed from the side of the device, and the developer's desire to start a new world of mass spectrometry with this device. It is being The AccuTOF™ GC-Alpha is an orthogonally accelerated time-of-flight mass spectrometer (OA-TOFMS) equipped with a two-stage field gradient reflectron. It has an ideal ion optical system that combines high ion transmittance (=sensitivity) and ultra-high resolution.

■New generation automatic analysis software that pursues simplicity and speed

We have devised a new workflow for identifying "unknown compounds" using GC-MS. In this workflow, analysis is performed by integrating data obtained by the EI (electron ionization) method, which is a hard ionization method, and data obtained by soft ionization methods, such as the FI method. The automatic analysis software "msFineAnalysis" equipped with this new workflow was launched in 2018 as a software with a completely new concept, and has been used by many customers.
