About This Product

■Summary

ECCS B320 is a system for observing electrochemical reactions during charging and discharging of lithium-ion batteries. Lasertec's unique real-color confocal optical system and specially designed window cell are effective for visualizing intercalation, quantifying expansion and contraction of active materials, and analyzing the mechanism of dendrite generation. ・Observe and quantify the electrode cross section during charging and discharging with Operando ・Observe the generation and growth of dendrites in real time ・Significantly shortens battery initial evaluation time Features

■Achieve Operando observation [Original optical system]

By using a real color confocal optical system, it is possible to observe high-resolution, high-contrast images that are unaffected by glass, electrolytes, etc.

■Meeting LiB development issues [Dedicated analysis software]

It is equipped with a dedicated analysis application that meets the challenges faced by LiB. We will contribute to improving the quality of LiBs and developing new materials. ・Reaction distribution analysis: By capturing minute changes in the color and brightness of the active material during charging and discharging, it is possible to quantitatively analyze the reaction distribution in the film thickness direction. ・Expansion/contraction analysis: Real-time analysis of minute changes that cannot be measured with micrometers or displacement meters is possible. ・Dendrite analysis: Possible to quantify generation conditions and growth process. It is also possible to observe minute dendrites that do not appear on the charge/discharge curve.

■Possible to observe electrode cross section [Cell with dedicated window]

Two types of cells with windows, compatible with coin cells and pouch cells, allow observation from the cross-sectional direction. The structure is easy to assemble and can be used according to your needs.
