■High pressure recovery and short upstream and downstream straight pipe lengths
Venturi tubes are reliable, easy to use, and low-maintenance, making them especially suitable for flow measurement of high-purity liquids and gases. The advantages of Venturi tubes over other differential pressure flow meters are high pressure recovery and short upstream and downstream straight pipe lengths. On the upstream side, the nozzle gradually becomes narrower and the fluid accelerates. Downstream, pressure is restored by gradually thickening.
■Flow rate measurement using slight differential pressure
The pressure recovery makes Venturi tubes particularly suitable for flow measurements with small differential pressures. Due to low pressure loss, fluid pumping costs can also be reduced.
