■Product description
Diaphragm seals are used to protect pressure measuring instruments in applications with difficult media. In diaphragm seal systems, the diaphragm of the diaphragm seal affects the separation of the instrument and the media. Pressure is transmitted to the measuring instrument via the system fill fluid inside the diaphragm seal system.
There is a wide variety of designs, materials and system fill fluids available for implementing demanding applications. For technical information on diaphragm seals and diaphragm seal systems, refer to IN 00.06 "Applications, Principles of Operation and Design".
Model 990.36 small diaphragm seal with threaded connection and flush diaphragm is suitable for versatile use. Despite its compact dimensions, this diaphragm seal can also be used at high pressures. Optionally available in sanitary design or versions with protective plate.
Attachment to measuring instruments with diaphragm seals is carried out by direct connection, for high temperatures via cooling elements or via flexible capillaries. For material selection, WIKA offers various solutions in which the diaphragm seal and the wetted parts can be made of the same or different materials. Wet areas can be coated instead.
