If you want to display the process pressure on-site while simultaneously sending a signal to a central controller or remote control room, you can use model PGT43HP intelliGAUGE (US Patent No. 8,030,990). Since the pressure element is metal, these devices are safe even at high overpressures in the range 40, 100 and 400 bar.
The combination of a high-quality mechanical measuring system and an accurate electrical signal processing system ensures that the process pressure is known reliably, even in the event of a power failure. intelliGAUGE model PGT43HP meets all safety-related requirements of relevant standards and regulations for on-site indication of pressure in pressure vessels. The mechanical pointer allows you to read pressure values even in such situations.
Model PGT43HP is based on the high performance stainless steel safety pressure gauge model 432.36 in sizes 100 or 160. Pressure gauges are manufactured in accordance with EN837-3. A durable diaphragm measuring system allows the pointer to rotate proportionally to pressure. An electrical angle encoder, proven in safety-critical automotive applications, determines the position of the pointer axis. Since this is a non-contact sensor, there is no need to worry about wear or friction.
This electrical signal is proportional to pressure and can produce a 4...20mA output. The electronic WIKA transmitter combines the advantages of an electrical signal transmitter with the advantages of an analogue display for on-site confirmation in a high-quality mechanical pressure gauge. The measurement span (electrical output signal) is automatically set on the mechanical display and the range is shown as corresponding to 4...20mA. Electrical zero point is also set automatically.
