According to the Measurement Act, sub-meters cannot be used unless they have passed certification or a self-inspection conducted by a designated manufacturer and have not expired.

■What is an “electronic meter”?
This is an electric meter used in rental buildings, commercial buildings, dormitories, etc., to distribute the charges paid to the electric power company in a lump sum according to the amount of electricity used in each room.
■The "electronic meter" has an expiration date.
The expiry date is determined by the Measurement Act. (Article 16 of the Measurement Act "Restrictions on Use")
・Single instrument 10 years
・Meter with transformer 5 years and 7 years *7 years for electronic type and rated voltage 300V or less and rated primary current 120A or less
■If the expiration date has passed, it will be a violation of the law.
The Measurement Act stipulates that "a person shall be punished by imprisonment with work for not more than 6 months, or a fine of not more than 500,000 yen, or both." (Article 172 of the Measurement Act)
■Electronic meter has received Eco Mark certification.
As a member of the Kyushu Electric Power Group, we promote environmental conservation activities. In May 2010, we received the industry's first Eco Mark certification from the Japan Environment Association Eco Mark Secretariat for the classification of reused products by clearing the eight strict criteria listed below. .
・Based on the Measurement Act, the business must be notified to the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry.
・Have a system in place to ship reused products after cleaning, parts replacement, and maintenance inspection.
・More than 90% (weight ratio) of reused parts.
- In the cleaning process, comply with environmental laws and regulations, such as not using cleaning agents that affect the global environment.
・In the remanufacturing process, parts that are no longer needed due to replacement etc. must be properly recycled or treated and disposed of in an appropriate manner.
・Reused products must be certified based on the Measurement Law before being shipped.
- Packaging materials used to transport products must be designed to be reusable.
- A collection route after inspection has been established.
