An aerial work platform is a device used to transport materials and cargo from a lower floor to an upper floor.
There are various types of lifts depending on the type of cargo to be lifted and the amount, or weight, of the cargo.
Note that all types of lifts are designed for the exclusive use of cargo and are not designed to accommodate people.
Aerial work platforms are often installed in factories, warehouses, and distribution centers to lift and lower a wide variety of small to large loads, as well as to lift heavy loads to and from the second and third floors of ordinary houses, and as material lifting equipment in construction projects.

The bottom of the lift is equipped with a safety device that immediately stops the lift if it comes in contact with a person or object during descent.
