What Is a Sand Separator?
A sand separator is a device designed to remove sand and solid particles present in a fluid.
The sand separator consists of a fluid inlet, a separation chamber (separation tube), an outlet for clean fluid, and an outlet for discharged sand and other separated materials. It is characterized by being made of highly durable materials.
The operational principle is based on centrifugal separation: when fluid enters the separation tube, it rapidly rotates inside. Due to gravity, sand and other solid particles fall along the inner wall of the separation tube, while the clean fluid rises. Sand separators efficiently remove foreign particles from fluids, making them suitable for improving the quality of industrial and drinking water, as well as preventing damage to pipes and pumps through which fluids pass.
