This is the product introduction page for consumables (O-rings).
O-ring (OC/OCL/O/OV/OVL/TV/PV gasket)
■Product overview
An O-ring is a ring of strings with round cross-sections, and rubber O-rings are widely used as gaskets for fluid seals. O-rings are made up of elements such as material, dimensions, and thickness standards.
The material is the most important factor that determines the characteristics of an O-ring, so it must be selected by taking into account the operating temperature, operating pressure, and compatibility with the fluid. At low pressure, the O-ring's own elasticity provides a seal, and at high pressure, the O-ring is pressed against the groove, providing even higher sealing performance.
This type of sealing structure is called self-sealing. Self-sealing eliminates the need for torque management and allows for easy opening and closing of the lid plate.
■Features
・With a flange structure, it can be designed to save space and be thinner, allowing for a lightweight design.
・Self-sealing makes it easy to open and close the lid plate.
・By carefully selecting materials, it can be used repeatedly for a long time and has good cost performance.
■Notes on selection
・Please select an O-ring that matches the fluid.
- In special cases, general-purpose products may be more appropriate.
・When using gas, check the O-ring gas permeability (gas barrier properties).
