Silica gel type B exhibits higher moisture absorption power as the humidity increases, and is effective in preventing condensation.
Sun drying is a method of using silica gel as a dehumidifier by forcibly releasing the moisture it has absorbed once, in preparation for subsequent moisture absorption. Only type B silica gel can release moisture at room temperature, and a great dehumidifying effect can be obtained each time it is dried in the sun.
