■Performance of resin guide

■Weather resistance

If resin guides are exposed to ultraviolet rays for a long period of time, cracks will occur on the surface of the molded product, causing chalking. (Tensile strength retention rate reduced by 10%/12 months). Please avoid storing or using it in a place exposed to direct sunlight for a long period of time.

■Chemical resistance

One of the characteristics of POM is that it has excellent resistance to various chemicals, and although there are almost no chemicals that dissolve the resin, it is resistant to hexafluoroacent hydrate etc. at room temperature, and γ-butyrolactone etc. at high temperatures. Dissolve.

■Household chemical resistance

POM is highly resistant to household chemicals and causes almost no actual damage. There may be slight discoloration or color development due to chemical changes between the additives in POM and the synthetic detergent, but this will not affect the strength.

■Grease resistance

Please note that POM may be affected by additives in the grease.

■Automotive-related chemicals

POM generally exhibits good resistance to various automotive chemicals, but may be affected by additives in battery fluid, gasoline, and lubricants. Also, when used at high temperatures for a long period of time, acid may be generated in the chemicals due to air oxidation, which may cause corrosion, so care must be taken.

■RoHS Directive

It does not contain any of the six substances restricted by the RoHS Directive. (Lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, PBB, PBDE)

■About disposal

The resin part (POM) of the resin guide can be disposed of as normal industrial waste. Additionally, bolts and fixed pipes can be disposed of as normal metal waste.
