Balance reamer consists of 4-point guide pad + 1 PCD blade. The flute design takes into consideration the rotational balance of the reamer, suppressing vibration during rotation even if the tool protrudes long. Achieves "high-precision machining" in deep hole machining by arranging guides that take cutting resistance into consideration. The special coolant hole design ensures lubricity during cutting and prevents scratches on the workpiece.

■Current situation and issues
When drilling deep holes, the protrusion of the tool becomes longer, so the rotational balance (shift in the center of gravity) is large, and the centrifugal force during rotation causes the tool to behave, resulting in unstable machining accuracy, and insufficient coolant supply to the guide section, which can lead to welding. There was a problem in that this caused scratches on the work surface.
■Development points
The ``Balance Reamer'' uses a special groove shape with a well-balanced rotation to suppress runout during rotation, and the optimum guide pad arrangement stabilizes the accuracy of deep hole drilling.
Furthermore, by supplying coolant to the entire guide, lubricity is improved, welding to the guide is improved, and scratches on the work surface are suppressed.
