Features of YVO4 laser processing
■The shield wire does not dig into the dielectric material.
In the case of a mechanical stripper that uses a knife, pressure is applied to the shield wire from the outside when cutting, which can cause the shield wire to dig into the dielectric material. This may affect the wire characteristics.
Laser shield cutting allows stable control of the cutting depth without contact, so make a cut to about half of the shield wire and remove the shield with a rotating brush type shield removal device (Shield Stripper SS-BV) to remove the internal dielectric. Processing is possible without affecting the body.
■Reduces thermal damage to dielectric material
YVO4 laser's characteristics of low peak power and high repetition oscillation frequency can suppress the amount of heat generated when processing shielded wires, reducing thermal damage to the internal dielectric layer underneath the shielded wires. can.
■No change in machining accuracy due to parts wear
Unlike blades, there is almost no effect on machining accuracy due to wear of parts, so it is possible to maintain a constant machining accuracy for a long period of time.

In the case of unidirectional irradiation equipment using a laser marker or other general two-direction irradiation laser processing machines, there are areas where the laser is not irradiated sufficiently and areas where it is strongly irradiated. This machine uses a unique device mechanism to irradiate lasers from four diagonal directions. Cut evenly around the entire circumference of the shield.

By combining "laser processing conditions" and "processing position conditions," processing conditions can be changed for each process or product, and continuous processing of multiple locations can be performed simply by pressing the recipe selection button.

By optimizing the optical design, we perform laser irradiation with a beam shape suitable for shield cutting, resulting in highly accurate microfabrication with less thermal damage to the surrounding area.
■Extra-fine braided wire also requires no preliminary soldering
Braided shielded wire has parts where the wire is double thick and parts with gaps as shown below. When irradiated with a laser, the inner layer shield wire remains uncut in the double areas, and the laser penetrates into the internal dielectric material in the gap areas, causing damage. Therefore, it takes time and effort to perform "preliminary soldering" and then cut the shield.
