A winding core with a hard surface layer cannot absorb the unevenness at the beginning of winding of films, etc., and will leave unevenness marks on the second and subsequent sheets of overlap. This varies greatly depending on the winding method, type of film, etc., and product quality specifications, but the effects of the step marks at the beginning of winding may remain for several hundred meters after the start of winding. As a countermeasure, we may produce more than necessary by incorporating loss equivalent into the product specifications in advance. Folding wrinkles may occur in the first layer of film, etc. at the beginning of winding, and may extend over several hundred meters. For example, if the required length is 10,000m, it is often seen that production is performed with an extra length of 10,200m in consideration of a loss of 200m.
■“e-Core” eliminates film step marks and reduces loss
In order to eliminate or reduce film step marks at the beginning of winding, "e-Core" molds a rubber layer on the core with a thickness of ~2 to 10 mm, absorbs the film steps with the entire rubber layer, and reduces the film step marks. It is a system that does not leave anything behind.
■Steps in the adhesive part at the beginning of winding film, etc.
When starting to wind a film, etc., it is common to apply double-sided tape or an alternative adhesive substance to the surface of the winding core, but with many highly functional films, even the thickness of the double-sided tape can cause step marks. Therefore, extremely thin double-sided tape less than 10 μm may be used.
■Rewinding core “e-core RTS” that does not require double-sided tape
"e-Core RTS" is a self-adhesive adhesive that modifies the base rubber itself using a special surface treatment method to form a slightly adhesive layer, so there is no need to worry about peeling or swelling. In addition, the adhesion in the vertical direction is minimal and the adhesion in the horizontal direction is strong, making it easy to re-stick while preventing the base material from shifting.
