About This Product
Tribometer
■Wide range friction/wear evaluation device
Based on decades of experience in tribology, Anton Paar offers a wide range of tribometers. Tribology is a science and technology that deals with surface interactions in relative motion and is a method for characterizing friction, wear, and lubricity. Anton Paar offers versatility and robustness for a wide variety of materials, providing the perfect solution for your needs.
■Features
・Standard measurements also include evaluation of friction, wear, and lubrication.
- Offers a wide range of test parameters, terminal shapes and add-on options
・Delivery of reference sample kit to confirm device performance
・Integrated temperature and humidity sensor
Anton Paar's pin-on-disc tribometers have been the standard for measuring friction, wear and lubrication, with over 1,000 units installed around the world over the past 35 years. Perform tribology testing (friction testing) with a wide range of test parameters, contact geometries, and add-on options. Simulate all conditions including dynamic modes (linear and reciprocating), contact modes, speeds, lubrication, materials, high temperatures, and humidity.
TRB3 has earned the trust of research institutes around the world. It is used in research and quality control of new materials (ceramics, metals, polymers, etc.), lubricants and additives, self-lubricating systems, etc.
■Two friction force sensors minimize thermal drift
A unique design with two friction force sensors and a telescopic symmetrical measuring arm successfully reduces thermal drift. Thermal drift is caused by changes in environmental temperature during long test times. An example of a more pronounced effect of thermal drift is when the sample is intentionally heated or cooled and the expected frictional forces are relatively small.
TRB3 measures the signals of two friction force sensors simultaneously and records the hardware-corrected data in real time.
■Real-time monitoring of environmental conditions with built-in sensors
It is important to record and report environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, etc.) along with tribological property data. The results of tribological tests (especially in polymer characterization and hard membrane characterization) are strongly dependent on these factors. TRB3 measures temperature and humidity at each time using a built-in sensor and records it along with other desired data such as friction force.
