About This Product

Characteristics

■Long lifespan

The fine and homogeneous α-alumina crystal structure provides extremely high wear resistance and resistance to cracking, achieving an amazingly long life. For example, when grinding alumina powder, it shows several times the wear resistance of commercially available zirconia beads.

■High purity (99.99% purity)

The content of radioactive isotopes such as U and Th is also very low, making it suitable for applications that are sensitive to radiation.

■Excellent corrosion resistance

Even if the slurry temperature increases during grinding, there is no decrease in wear resistance as seen with zirconia beads, and it can be used in a wide temperature range. It also has excellent corrosion resistance against acids and alkalis.

■ Damage suppression

Its specific gravity is approximately 2/3 lighter than zirconia, so it can reduce deterioration and damage to the material to be crushed. It can also be crushed with 2/3 of the filling weight.

■Bead size

We offer beads of φ0.2, 0.3, 0.4, and 0.5mm, including φ0.1mm, which is the smallest diameter of alumina beads currently on the market.
