About This Product

Woody biomass power generation. Renewable energy is attracting attention. Wood chips used as fuel for power generation come from a variety of sources, such as forest thinning wood and construction waste, and contain varying amounts of moisture. The moisture content of wood chips is directly related to calorific value, ignitability, and combustibility, and has a significant impact on the power generation efficiency of the boiler, so proper moisture management of wood chips is required.

Conventionally, the moisture content of wood chips has been measured using the "heat drying method," but the major drawbacks include a lack of speed and the need for specialized equipment. The ``Wood Chip Moisture Meter MT-200'' can measure moisture by simply inserting a rod-shaped sensor into a pile of wood chips. Although it is easy to operate, highly reliable moisture values ​​can be obtained because calculations are made using a newly developed pre-registered calibration curve for wood chips*.
