About This Product

RoboTest L is a fully automated testing system for metals and plastics. Can be used for tensile testing, bending testing, and tear progression testing (elastomers). Depending on specimen dimensions and specimen surface, up to 480 specimens can be tested autonomously. The specimen to be tested is placed on a movable magazine table (X-axis). The gripper (Y-axis) removes the specimen from the magazine and transports it to the testing machine where a fully automated test is performed. Optional components such as an ID scanner, cross-sectional area measurement device, HOST connection, accept/reject functionality, waste gripper, and status indicator complete the system. Manual testing can be performed if necessary by disconnecting the specimen feed system.

■Measurement of non-contact elongation and width reduction

-Laser extensometers are used to optically measure the elongation and width reduction of materials. - Elongation is measured on both sides of the specimen because, for example, in cold rolling, the flow is not uniform on both sides of the specimen. -Blue light is used to optimize measurements, which determines highly accurate and repeatable test results.

■Robot testing system equipped with the latest drive shaft and Windows 10 – Metal tensile testing

・With its compact setup, roboTest L enables fully automated testing in a relatively small space. Test results can be obtained efficiently because many tests can be completed in a short period of time. - This fully automatic system is suitable for testing cold rolled steel up to 250 kN and thicknesses from 0.5 mm to 10 mm. ・The test piece magazine can hold up to 160 test pieces.

■Advantages

- Operator effects (hand temperature/humidity, linearity when attaching the test piece, etc.) are eliminated, allowing for highly reproducible testing. ・Laboratory staff are freed from routine tasks and can concentrate on more complex tasks. ・The system can be operated at all times, even when staff are not working, so there is no need to stop testing. - Full automation reduces the testing cost per test piece, so it is calculated that the investment can be recovered in 1 to 2 years. - The system creates highly reliable test reports and also performs statistical long-term test monitoring.
