About This Product

Available in electromechanical systems with unlimited continuous rotation, slip rings have the ability to transfer power and data from stationary to rotating objects. This slip ring is also called rotary electrical interface, commutator, collector, swivel, and rotary joint. The AC6098 slip ring has a through-bore inner diameter of 101.6 mm and a compact outer diameter of 206.5 mm. The hollow section can be used for piping hydraulic and pneumatic equipment or for mounting this slip ring on a concentric shaft. Available in four capsule lengths (from 116.84 mm to 368.3 mm) depending on the number of circuits required, the AC6098 slip ring can be configured with 1 to 72 signal circuits or 1 to 24 power circuits. You can. This "stacked module" approach allows us to quickly assemble the number and type of circuits you need. Additionally, unlike many competing products, the AC6098 slip ring can also carry low-level control/data signals and can combine signal/data and power circuits in the same assembly. The maximum continuous rotation speed of this slip ring is 250 rpm. Additionally, the AC6098 slip ring utilizes Moog's proprietary fiber brushes, which offer several advantages over traditional slip ring contacts. The advantages of this fiber brush include multiple contact points in the brush bundle, reduced contact pressure per fiber, and reduced contact wear rate. It also has the advantage of not requiring lubrication and producing almost no wear debris.
