About This Product

■Summary Alumina is a relatively inexpensive ceramic material with good workability. It has excellent electrical insulation properties, and has properties such as heat resistance, abrasion resistance, chemical resistance, and mechanical strength. It is characterized by relatively high thermal conductivity and high versatility. Shimizu Shokai handles various grades of alumina, including plate and tube shapes. Metallization processing is also possible on alumina substrates. ■Characteristics of alumina (Al2O3) ・High heat resistance (approximately 1,500℃) and relatively high thermal conductivity. On the other hand, it has a high coefficient of thermal expansion and is weak in thermal shock resistance. ・It has very good corrosion resistance (chemical resistance) and is not easily attacked by most acids and alkalis. ・High strength, high hardness, and excellent wear resistance. ・Excellent electrical insulation - High rigidity, well-balanced mechanical properties, relatively inexpensive, and highly versatile. ■Uses of alumina (Al2O3) Transfer arms, vacuum chucks, mechanical seals, pump parts, true spherical balls, other semiconductor manufacturing related parts, plasma countermeasures, CVD, PVD, etchers, insulators, reactor core tubes, alumina tubes
