About This Product

BV-HTRV is a special crystal growth furnace using the Bridgman method. The Bridgman method is a method in which pre-synthesized materials are slowly moved through a temperature gradient. In the Bridgman method, a presynthesized material is moved slowly through a temperature gradient, and the dissolved material moves through a decreasing temperature gradient to form a single crystal. BV-HTRV is a tube furnace mounted on equipment designed for the Bridgman process. The HTRV 70-250 or HTRV 100-250 is typically used as the tube furnace installed in the pulling equipment. Basically, any tube furnace can be installed on the pulling device. The two most common models are HTRV 70-250 and HTRV 100-250. The short heated length has the advantage of creating an ideal gradient for the Bridgman method. The temperature will drop towards the bottom of the furnace. The lifting device moves the sample towards a lower temperature at an adjustable speed. A thermocouple is placed next to the sample to accurately read the temperature of the sample. Both sample and probe thermocouples are attached to the bottom puller. Sample movement can be done at high speeds for loading/unloading or at user-defined speeds for crystal growth. A ceramic tube surrounds the probe thermocouple and sample. Water-cooled flanges are connected to both ends of the tube. The top of the system has fixed tubes and flanges. At the bottom of the furnace, a bellows connects the tube and the lifting device. This bellows extends as the sample descends. This device can operate in a vacuum. At the top of the furnace, a tube is connected to a vacuum pump. The valve to the vacuum line is opened and closed manually. The vacuum level is controlled with a piezo measuring gauge. Inert gas purge is possible with a manual rotameter. To lower the oxygen level before crystal growth, evacuation and backflow with inert gas are performed several times. A computer can be connected to the system to record all relevant data of the process, such as sample position and probe thermocouple temperature. The clamp must be opened to load and unload the sample. Fast moving options allow easy access to samples.
