■Product overview
HEIDENHAIN touch probes are optimally designed for machining centers and milling machines. The position of tools and workpieces can be accurately and quickly measured before machining, which contributes to reducing changeover time and improving machining accuracy.
■Optical sensor with no contact wear
Since the optical sensor has no contact wear, it can maintain high repeatability even after a huge number of measurement processes (more than 5 million times). In particular, it is extremely suitable for use on grinding machines.
■Accurate measurement results
All TS touch probes for workpieces are equipped with a blower jet for cleaning workpieces using compressed air. This allows the measurement area to be constantly cleaned and measurements to be performed with high reproducibility.
■Safety design to protect against collisions
In addition to the structure that can withstand large distortions caused by external forces applied to the main body, the stylus and connecting pins are designed to break if a certain amount of load is applied for safety reasons. An optional adapter can also be installed between the touch probe and the tapered shank to act as collision protection.
■Touch probe TS series for workpieces
You can automatically measure the workpiece without removing it from the table or jig during machining. The measurement results are useful for maintaining and improving machining accuracy by using them to record dimensional accuracy, machining progress, and compensate for tool wear.
